I was a bit skeptical about how this recipe would taste, but to my surprise it is one of the best tasting that I have enjoyed. My mother and I decided to give it a whirl ? she is the cook/chef in the family, I assist as her souze chef. We added a 1/3 of a cup of apple brandy --- because we use just apple cider.
The prep work was so easy, my mother and I were amazed at how quickly we were able to make this dish. It is a five star keeper. The pork loin was very moist. With what was left we made some penne noodles, added the pork, and sauce and had great left over?s.

I was amazed at how easy this recipe was to make. I had never even seen pork loin up close but decided to try it. It was a hit! People who would not eat my cooking before will now eat this. Instead of hard cider, I used apple cider brandy. The meat was so tender!!

I love her recipes, and usually just jot down a few notes as I watch her show. The pork was juicy and even though I couldn't find hard cider (I substituted regular apple juice, spices and 2T cider vinegar, the sauce was fresh and zingy. It seems so hard to find her stuff on foodnetwork.com. I'm glad you don't need to go online to cook her great creations.

Claire, my entire family watched this episode together and I hit my husband on the arm and told him, "That's why I need a good quality Dutch Oven." My birthday was a couple days later, and voila! I got a dutch oven! : I made this recipe over the weekend, substituting apple juice combined with some chicken broth because I couldnt' find cider. I used two granny smiths and one large white onion. Can you say OMG???? There are not enough words to describe the tenderness, the flavor, the perfection of this meal. My kids and hubby LOVED it. The gravy was fantastic. I am convinced that the key to the juicy, tender meat is the use of the dutch oven, so thank you for the great recipe and also for being the prompt for me to FINALLY get one! It's a heavy-duty Paula Deen Dutch Oven. Perfect!!!!!

I made the cheaper version of this recipe using pork chops and apple juice. Forgot to buy hard cider at the store but the flavors were much the same I sure and it was really, really good. It was nice to have something different.

This was very easy and very good my whole family loved it and I have one very picky son - thank you this is a great fall dish. I couldn't find hard cider so I used apple cider which also turned out great (since I didn't know the difference.

I loved this super simple recipe! I impressed my husband with such an easy dish with such a fab finish! The gravy was flavorful and the pork super moist. We served it over brown rice with a side of steamed veggies, so it was a pretty healthy meal over all. Bonus...we enjoyed the remaining ice cold hard ciders..yum!
