This is my second time making this trail mix. It is fast, fun and very easy to make. My six-year old son enjoyed making it with me. The first batch I made did not survive an entire day! I received raved reviews from my children (ages 15, 11, 9 and 6 and husband.
This was definitely a hit and healthy!

Easy fast recipe that keeps me from eating potato chips or other $1.50 nasty snacks out of the snack machine at work. There is always a bag of the trail mix within reach.
For my BYOC tip… Add some slivered macadamia nuts, and bind it with some Coconut syrup.

I made this trail mix a few weeks ago when I saw it on TV. I put it in snack bags and took it with us on a trip. Also, gave some to a friend who was recovering from surgery. We love this trail mix so much I am making some more today. My friend sent a thank you and said she loved everything in her goodie bag, especially the seed/nut packets. I always add a few dried cranberries and more almonds. Dried cherries are so expensive and hard to find. We love it and its good for us. It's a snack we can feel good about. Thanks!

I have tried several trail mix recipes, and this is the favorite, by far. Even family members who turn up their noses to "healthy" food, love it! It has the perfect balance of flavors, I highly recommend it!

I just made this, the family is crazy for it. I did add cinnamon and a handful of oats for fun. It is waiting to cool now, and we are adding raisins and cranberries. Might add a few Vanilla yogurt raisins for a special treat for my new Kindergartner. Thanks Claire!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this recipe. We add dried cranberries when we cant find dried cherries. Also add pecans some times.
I will say this to anyone thinking about making it - DO NOT use WAX Paper. Make sure you have a silpat mat or parchment paper. I always bake with one of these two things. wax paper heats up, the wax melts off and what ever you are baking will be absorbed by the paper.

I was so exited about this recipe but I was disappointed when I had to chisel the nuts off my wax paper with a metal spatula!! The nuts are all stuck together like clusters which makes it hard to eat. It tastes good but I dont think Ill be making this again.

OH MY SWEET GOODNESS! I first tried it right out of the oven before I put the cherries in. It is crunchy, salty, sweet explosion of AMAZING flavor. Then, I added the cherries and I could not stop eating it! This one is out of the ball park . . . a home run for sure!
