We really enjoyed it - but I cut the maple syrup (used Grade A by 1/3. It was sweet enough for us. The dried cherries we found were large so I chopped them.

Absolutely love it. I've never made a trial mix before, but have eaten plenty. This was simple to make, I added the dried cherries, never had them before and I also added dried blueberries. Great munchie! I'd like to know the nutritional info. cal. fat fiber etc. This is definitely worth sharing. BTW I used New Hamphshires pure maple syrup, not sure of the grade.

I am not a dried fruit fan, so I skipped that. Instead I added some dry roasted peas for some extra crunch, and it was great.

I had to go to the health-food store to get raw pepitas and sunflower seeds, but it was definitely worth the trip. If you salt this right when it comes out of the oven, the salt will stick to the mix, and then it's easy to slide off the tray with a spatula.

The combination of the maple syrup, salt, and nutty pepitas and sunflower seeds somehow makes this taste a little like peanut brittle. So good! Satisfies my sweet, salty, and crunchy cravings all at the same time.

Even my husband, who looks down his nose at stuff like this, ate a bunch of this. One of my resolutions for the year was to try and quit eating junk food, and this will really help with that.

I forgot to get dried fruit, so I made this without and it was still the best trail mix ever. I doubled the recipe and used grade A maple syrup and some kosher salt. If you allow the mix to cool and harden after taking it out of the oven, you can easily break it all up. Really quite delicious and next time I'll add the dried fruit!

Best trail mix I have tried. Love the dried cherries in the mix. My kids add M&Ms but I don't need them - perfect blend of sweet and salty!

Just made this recipe with dried cranberries and also used grade A maple syrup. I have a large sheet pan so I cooked it on one baking sheet. It is absolutely delicious. Crunchy with just a hint of saltiness. I would advise one thing though-as soon as you remove the pan from the oven toss the nuts with a metal spatula. Because the maple syrup is sticky some of the nuts are stuck to the silpat. Scraping them up wihen they are warm is easier than once they have cooled. A healthy treat to enjoy!!!

When I saw Claire make this on TV I had to try it. I subbed dried mixed berries (blueberries, cherries, cranberries and sugar free maple syrup (being diabetic requires some changes. I wasn't sure if the s/f syrup would work as well, so I halved the recipe for the first time. I did have to give it a little extra time in the oven (about 15 mins. It turned out GREAT! The nuts stayed crispy, even in the artifical syrup, and the flavor is wonderful with the mixed berries. I'll have to DOUBLE the recipe next time.

I made a batch last night and it is SO good and simple to throw together. I brought some into work and now all my coworkers are hooked too...I had to forward on the recipe to them.
