I used chuck short ribs and meat was like butter. I will experiment with different Cabernets though (wasn't in love with my sauce. Tried with side (braised cabbage which was great also. Craving the grits right now which was her other side. Will try soon.

This turned out super tender and yummy. I added some fresh rosemary to the mix to add some extra flavor. I would definitely make this again and its perfect for dinner parties. I also happen to love the Neely's and their cute, funny innuendos. Y'all are far too uptight.

Looked great on camera... not worth the money it cost to make it. The ribs came out moist and tender and BLAND! I used a good Cab that I would serve with any meal to my best girlfriends so I know it wasn't that. Sauce wouldn't thicken either though it did have potential. I triple checked ingredients and directions and I didn't miss a step. I had hoped this would be a week-day version I could serve quickly using the crock-pot but hubby and kids all agree this is not a repeat meal.

S000000 good! Love this girl!! I'm glad I'm not the only one that finds "The Neelys" obnoxious. Their behavior is very immature. Clean it up and I may tune in again. They do have some good recipes, but I end up turning the channel.

Made this last night for my husband and I. It was absolutely fabulous. Decided to make it for company sometime.
Thanks for such a great meal.
I am so glad you are on at 5:30pm now instead of the Neelys. Can't
stand how "loud" Gina is, and all the "sexual innuendos" from Pat.
This is suppose to be a cooking show. Now I can watch the Food
Network in the early evening. Used to turn it off after Ina and
turn it back on at 6:30pm. Thank you Food Network !

This is the BEST recipe EVER for short ribs! I've made it at least 5 times now and my famil1y loves it. They even request it now. I love it because it's so easy without 2,000 ingredients! Am thinking I'll try this using a brisket cut of beef. Be prepared, once you make these short ribs for your family, they will nag you till you make them again! ENJOY! BTW-Clare, I love how you cook!

They were delicious! I had some trouble because I could not get the sauce to thicken as the last step. But other than that they were great!! I will defiantly make them again. :
