These are truly amazing! I skipped the first cooking step and just pre-cooked them in the microwave. The were very delicious and now a favorite of ours.

These were good, but I'm only giving 3 stars because, in my opinion, they aren't worth the time. It took about 1 1/2 hours to make, with too many steps! They are just smashed baked potatoes, with whatever toppings you like.

I used Yukon Gold potatoes - because that's what I had on hand. They were a little bigger but still worked great. I also had some issues with the potatoes sticking to the masher - but I found that if pushed down on the masher from one direction to the other (like facing North and then facing East the potatoes didn't stick.
We topped with a little cheddar cheese, sour cream and chives. They were delicious and my husband has requested them again.

Made these tonight, they were great!! I didn't steam mine in the oven, I did it on the stovetop because it was quicker, I used my meat tenderizer to mash the potatoes and didn't have any trouble, I also used my olive oil sprayer instead of drizzling it to cut down on calories. Will be making again.

Made these for dinner tonight and they were awesome. Since I noticed that many reviewers had trouble with the potatoes sticking to the potato masher - even Claire had trouble with this on the show - I taped some parchment paper onto the masher and had no trouble at all. This one will probably become a regular in the rotation!

Made these as part of my Father's day meal. Everyone loved them. I had scallions, bacon and sour cream in a baggie so everyone could customize their own. I used garlic infused olive oil. Will make versions of these again and agian. WTG Claire!

auntieangie..you need to realize that these are POTATOES.. you said you have been cooking for 30 years???? then whats the problem..This is by far the newest way to make potatoes fun and healthy!! I made them while making the Neely's turkey meatloaf and they KICKED *****!!!!!! Seriously just take your time with them and maybe just cook a couple at a time while somehthing else is in the oven. I even plan on using the leftover ones with eggs over easy tomorrow!!

Excellent! I made tham as a side dish with Bacon and Cheddar Cheese. They quickly became the main course. Oh well...meatloaf sandwiches anyone?
