I was very skeptical to try this recipe because saffron, as we all know, is so expensive. However, this recipe is awesome! The aioli was perfect. We topped our scallops with lemon cloud foam. It was one of the best dishes my boyfriend and I have made ourselves. Very good, definitely try it!

I thought this was just OK. Very easy to make but I didn't really like the flavor of the aioli. I probably won't be making this again.

We had never tried scallops before and just really did not like them at all!! The saffron was so expensive we did not use it but the sauce even without the saffron is great!! We loved the sauce:

This was my first time cooking scallops because I don't like them, but when I saw this made
on TV I thought I'd give them a try. I was really surprised, I liked them this way maybe because
the sauce helped. They were cooked beautifully with a nice crust on the outside. My family
liked them too. I would make this again.

I LOVE scallops, and this makes me love them more!! The sauce is to die for! The kids didn't like the sauce, but I think it's an adult taste maybe. The saffron threads....EXPENSIVE!!! so think about if you will use them again. I wonder what it would taste like without the saffron? My scallops didn't crust up like on the show...watery and they poched. How do you get them to not be watery? Maybe dry them out a bit on the counter with paper towels on a plate. Super easy to make.

This aioli recipe was fabulous! The saffron with the orange juice was a heavenly combo. I was sorry that I didn't have more scallops! I finished the rest of the sauce on my finger as I was cleaning the dishes! Yum! It was a piece of cake to make and I will certainly make it again soon. I will definitely be sharing this with others!

So good. The saffron aioli is perfect on the scallops and so easy to make. My husband liked it so much that he got a slice of bread to wipe up any extra sauce on his plate! The orange is not too powerful in the aioli. Follow the directions, it's not hard. If the sauce doesn't drizzle, then put a small dollop on each scallop, it makes this dish.
