This was almost a hit for thanksgiving. The chipotle was too spicy for everyone and so I will put less in next time. Still a new favorite at the family table now.

A wonderful change from the sickly sweet potatoes that are normal for the holidays. Fixed it twice (for different people and was a hit both times. I did not amend the recipe at all.

Easy to prepare, huge hit for Thanksgiving, added the cube of melted butter and 1/2 cup 1/2 and 1/2 as suggested by another poster, this dish is a definite winner!

I wanted an alternate to the sweet sweet potato dish for Thanksgiving. This delivered on that end, but maybe it was just too different. The people who tried it thought it was either good or too hot, (I should have seeded the peppers. I still had 3/4 of the dish leftover after dinner. I liked the taste but in my opinion, the mustard yellow color of the cooked sweet potatoes is not appealing.

I had two Thanksgiving dinners this year and thought I would try something different. We all liked it but still prefer a sweet potato pone recipe.
Very easy though and worth trying!

This recipe was very good (I made it for Thanksgivingand everyone enjoyed it but.....it wasn't over the top great or the vegetable side dish "winner" on the Thanksgiving table (that honor went to Sunny Anderson's creamed spinach!. I prefer a savory sweet potato recipe so I thought this recipe would be the ultimate, but it just fell a little short. So far the plain, old, mashed sweet potato recipe (just milk, butter, salt & pepperis the winner.

Great taste! Loved the little bit of a spicy kick to it, along with the crunch of the bacon. Hesitated at the grocery store when noticed the price of Grade B maple syrup ($15.50. Decided to buy it anyway. Glad I did. It was light and not too sweet. Grade A would have been too sweet for this dish.

Unfortunately, I made this Thanksgiving for 15 people. None of us liked it at all. It was dry, and just overall blah! Sorry, I dislike writing bad reviews but it was a big disappointment here.
