This soda bread tasted very good and was very easy to prepare as well. Although it was not done in the middle. So, next time I will make it more flat and also add 5 to 10 minutes baking time.

The bread received rave reviews at dinner tonight! It was yummy. My aunt couldn't believe how quick and easy it was, she loved it and took some home to have as toast for breakfast. I liked using the whole wheat flour and the oats were a great addition. No issues with the baking time, just made sure is was flat.

This was easy and fun. It seems fairly healthy as well. Not very fluffy but tasted pretty good. Thanks Claire you rock!!

Simple and pretty tasty. Mine was done in 25 minutes, but my loaf was a fairly flat oval shape.

Just tried this recipe for the first time, cooking time definitely needs to be longer. Did not get done in the middle. Possibly I need to make a more flat loaf next time. Taste is good and is worth trying again.

This is a nutty, delicious bread that is extremely easy to prepare. I did not have any problems with the cooking time. In the television program Claire said to, "Count to five kneads." I will definitely prepare this Soda Bread or Irish Soda Bread again.

The directions are wrong, they tell you to cook the bread for too short a time. After following the directions to the letter, the middle of the bread was undercooked, needed at least another 10 minutes of bake time. (and on the show, the baking directions Claire quotes are NOT the directions given on the recipe. Aside from that, this is a very basic and bland bread that really needs a little something more to give it flavor. A bit of honey would probably do the trick, and I thought it needed more salt as well. Overall it was OK but I will probably not bother making it again.

This bread was lacking something but wasn't bad overall. I've made a soda bread mix from Trader Joe's that I liked better, although this recipe was healthier. It would be good with a thick stew.

A really excellent and easy recipe. This hearty, crusty bread is simply delicious. My daughter went to Ireland last year and when she had a thick slice with butter on it she said she was right back there. Her face spoke a thousand words.
Since I watch the carbs, this is the one bread I will splerge on-it is that good.
I had to bake an extra 5 minutes to assure middle was baked all the way.
