I loved this recipe! Made this for my family during Christmas, and it was such a big hit. Everybody kept coming back for seconds! The recipe has a sweet and savory taste to it, that left my entire my family impressed. Don't skip on any of the ingredients, they stood out on their own and they blended so perfectly together. I will be making this again, even if it's not the holidays!

I love to cook and have enjoyed trying new recipes for 50 years, yet this was my first casserole, ever! It was fantastic ... creamy, tasty and well received by everyone on Thanksgiving. Resembled a great mac & cheese, so the kids loved it! I will make it again, changing nothing!

Made this recipe for Thanksgiving and it was AWESOME! It was VERY easy to make...I put it together a day in advance and baked it on Thanksgiving; it turned out wonderfully! I had requests to make it for Christmas so I'll be making it again very soon! Can't wait!

Claire, this one is so much better than Paula's... there - I said it. Sorry Paula! I love you, but the Gruyere cheese and mayo in this one was a HUGE hit with the family. I couldn't find Vidalia onions, but regular onion worked just fine. Thanks Claire for creating a new family fave.

I have made this dish several times, and everyone who has tried it, loves it. This is a great way to get folks who would not normally eat Summer Squash to do so.

I switched the Gruyere cheese for Swiss (1/2 the price!
