I have made this dish using Havarite (sp?the first time and swiss
cheese the second time. They both turned out great and were
less expensive then gruyere. I also mixed in zucchini as I did
not have enough of the yellow.

This is one of the best things I have ever put in my mouth. My husband raved about it too. I'm making again today because I've been craving it since the first time. I didn't have gruyere (sp? cheese on hand although I'm sure that would make it even more outstanding. I used shredded Italian mix which was very good. Thank you Claire !

This recipe was way better that I expected! My family loved it - teenagers included! I couldn't get Gruyere so I used asiago cheese instead and it was perfect =

Made this with zucchini since the store was all out of yellow squash and it was SO GOOD! I wasn't expecting much from this simple recipe, but it is definitely going in my cookbook as a keeper. I think it would be just as good with less mayo, cheese and crackers, but I'll have to try that next time.
