I just finished making this and it is wonderful. I added less water as some of the reviews commented and I also added golden raisins after tasting and thinking they would be good with this, they were. I will be making again for my friends. Thank you Claire!

Wonderful recipe! I made this last night along with Claire's stuffed pork chops, and what a combo! I really enjoyed the mix of squash and apples together. The only thing I would change is the amount of water one adds--I put in a cup of water, as the recipe suggested, and I still had to pour out some liquid before I served the dish. Next time I would add water as I went along to achieve the correct finished product.

Fantastic! My husband asked me to make this again the very next day so that he could have it on his ice cream. I had previously served it as a side with BBQ chicken.

This recipe is our "new" favorite to serve with pork chops. I never served my family butternut squash before and now we love it. Another vegetable added to our list. I did use the Splenda brand brown sugar just to save some calories. It was "delish" and so easy to make!!! Nothing like warm apples and pork.

I actually did use the Whole Foods frozen diced Butternut Squash that the previous poster talked about, and the squash still cooked down, which was fine...With the frozen squash and doubling the recipe, i got into a big bind with too much water, had to pour a bunch out and then add back in more butter, brown sugar, etc. I suggest adding water as you go in very small increments if you want that nice glaze. All that being said, it was really good, my husband loved it. My three year old didn't eat it, but she is super picky. Would make again!

Really yummy. My only advice -- make sure you have big chunks of b'nut squash. I honestly did 1 inch and they got a little mushy toward the end. Wish I could have found them pre-chopped as I sometimes do at whole foods because that would have saved some major time and then they would have probably withstod the heat more. My husband LOVED this and so did my baby girl. It will now be in the rotation :

I didn't think I would like cooked apples because I don't like apple pie, but thought I would try this as I need more food ideas for my18 month old. This is YUMMY! I liked it, my daughter liked it, the whole family liked it. Will definitely make again and again.
