I chose this recipe to cook for my boyfriend (first time cooking for him and I must say it was fabulous. The meat was so tender it just fell apart and it had such a wonderful flavor. Will definately be making this again!

This recipe is so easy and SO Good!!! My family loved it and the leftovers for a sandwhich the next day just hit the spot : My hubby doesnt care for mushrooms and thought it was going to be overpowering, to his surprise he loved it! cant wait to make it again.

I have made this a few times. The WHOLE Family loves it. The next day it was just as good for sandwichs. Remember to get a huge piece of meat to have extras!!!

My family loved this roast and they were rooting for a remake before the meal was even half-way over. My husband loved having roast beef sandwiches from the leftovers and asked for a double portion to be made next time.

The meat was so tender and blending the mushrooms into the gravy made it very flavorful. Would definitely make again. I hope there is enough left over for the panini's but I'm not sure there will be! Thanks, Claire.

I wanted to have this just for the paninis, but it was so delish It was all gobbled up! When searing the meat I added strans of fresh thyme to the meat and used garlic infused EVOO and it was a wonderful addition. My gravy was a little on the thin side even after the processed mushrooms and onions were added so I tempered flour with the gravy and added that to the pot. I'm making another this week!

We thought this was excellent!! Read the other reviews and can't believe someone's came out dry... mine metled in my mouth. I made brown rice and served beef and gravy on top- was sooo yummy!!! There will be no seconds in my house for paninis. Will have to make a seperate roast for those!

And to some others- don't watch a show titled FIVE INGREDIENT FIX and then diss on the chef because she only uses FIVE ingredients! Of course you can always change to up to your preference- but Claire offers easy steps with few ingredients to help the meal come together a little easier.
Also- there are a million ways to make pot roast- this is just one of them- though an excellent one I must add- so yes- you CAN have pot roast without carrots, or red wine, or garlic!!

Try it with a few twists of your own, or only Claire's five- you will NOT be disappointed!!!
