This has become "my" best dish and my husbands favorite dinner. Thanks Claire!!!!!! Yorkshire pudding rocks especially the recipe that goes with this dish. My mother and I can eat all 12 just the two of us! It's just that good.

this meal is a "frequent flyer" in my houosehold and after cooking roast beef once this way i doubt i'll do it any other way.

this meal is soooooooooo simple but can be easily "doctored" by adding frozen pearl onions and red potatoes to the pot.

i'm a single disabled mom and have neither time nor money for anything too complicated. i thought 30-minutes was the answer, but this is even better for my life.

thanks claire robinson. You are quicly becoming my favorite food network star! .

Great recipe. Being a long time chef for the past 10 years it is refreshing to watch your shows for inspiration. Your recipes to me are as inspiring lead sheets to a musician. Your great personality is like a cherry on top -- Food Network is lucky to have you.

try the recipe before posting a review. Almost every one of these posts were from people who never tried the dish, but were planning to... or just a review of the show itself. Not helpful to those of us looking for a little input before heading to the kitchen. I'm an accomplished cook, and really good cooks know very well that every recipe doesn't have to be complicated in order to be excellent. This is a great recipe, simple and classic, and the show and it's chef are both great. I love Tyler, Ina and Anne... and now Claire! Keep it up, girl.

Seriously, I would make this for company, for the holidays, not just Sunday. But it is my husband's favorite so I make it more than just for holidays.
