The flavor was very good, but mine turned out somewhat mushy. Would have preferred them to be crisper

These are a great finger food or appetizer for entertaining guest, I also made them on Super bowl Sunday and will make them again for other events. You want to make sure that you do keep the temperature at 365 (use a thermometer to be most accurate. One other tip I would suggest is making them smaller than a heaping TBSP. I did that and the inside was a bit mushy but still good.. I just know I prefer them a little less dense. Definitely a unique and great recipe!

The husband and I made these today for Super Bowl Sunday. What a treat! Crispy outside and gooey goodness inside. And after reading the other reviews, we'll try for lower heat next time. Unbelievably good. This is my second recipe of Claire's. Who knew!?!?!

Made these on Super Bowl Sunday. They were fantastic! Nice and simple to mix and fry and they came out crispy on the outside and deliciously creamy on the inside. Loved the idea of both salt and confectioner's sugar sprinkled on top. It's a keeper!

The person that said it was gooey on the inside, your oil was too hot, try at a lower temp.

I made these the day after I saw her make them on TV, thinking if there was a way for me to screw these up, I would find it. Well, she really made it impossible for me to mess up and they were fantastic! Very addicting. As a matter of fact I overdid it and made what would have served an army! Thankfully the family all loved them and so we all gained some weight that week and I will be making them for visiting family on Thanksgiving. Thanks for the recipe, Claire!
