After reading some of the previous reviews, I decided to alter the recipe as well. I used two smalls cloves of minced garlic along with the salt and pepper during the browning process. I reduced the recommended amount of stock by 1/2 cup and added one can of diced tomatoes, drained slightly and placed the mixture over a bed of whole wheat orzo pasta. Worked out really well!! I will make the recipe again.

Great meal for my meat and starch husband. He really did like it and asked, while he was eating it, if I could make it again! Glad I could give him something healthy that he likes. I did add the crushed pepper flakes and minced garlic. Served it over brown rice.

This was great. Seasoned with some garlic salt and used ground beef instead of turkey. I served it over brown rice and it was PERFECT!! Really easy, super simple, and pretty healthy too.

This recipe was wonderful! Contrary to other reviews, the flavors were not that strong, nor very bland. I think it had a nice balance of being flavorful but not overpowering. The right additional spices/ingredients could definitely add depth to the dish. My husband loved it and so did my kids (save for the spinach! Definitely making this one again! Thank you Claire!

Good recipe for a bland diet as presented. I'm sure the addition of heat and other spices would help.

Really quick and easy, great for a mid-week meal. I used EVOO with minced garlic in the first step instead of infused oil. Also added about 1/2 c chopped onions to the hot oil followed by the meat (I used extra lean ground turkey breast to make it even healthier. Used 2T chili powder on the meat and a 10 oz bag of spinach to get more veggies. Served over brown rice - yum!

Made this tonight! A few of adjustments: I only added 1 cup of chicken stock and about a tablespoon of Frank's Orginal Red Hot sauce. I also added chopped onion and fresh chopped tomatoes. I know - it's more than 5 ingredients... My family has already asked that I make it again. It was a hit!

Delicious! I used turkey sausage which I removed from the casings and homemade chicken stock and it had great flavor and a nice sauce.
