This was easy and fast to make which i love because i dont have a lot of time with a baby running around. The taste of this cookie was yummy. I used 60% bittersweet chocolate because the store i was at didnt have dark chocolate and it still was great.

I used the gingerbread flavored grahm crackers and only baked for 10 minutes. To top I mixed semi sweet chocolate chips and bittersweet chocolate. They turned out great! Love the salt on top too!

Made them last night almost as directed. Only changes: used parchment paper as I didn't have a silpat and baked for 11 minutes at 325 (convection oven.
Two things to watch for: If you sprinkle on the salt before the chocolate cools a bit, it melts (but still tastes good--so wait a bit before sprinkling it on and placing in fridge. Also, i left it in the fridge for an hour instead of 30 minutes--made slicing more difficult if you want neat squares. Irregular pieces look just fine. BUT EASY AND DELICIOUS and each of my neighbors is getting a goodie bag of these on Christmas eve! (if i don't eat them all first...

I just made these little candy bars and really like them if your just going to have a little sweet its perfect you can break them in whatever size you want. I actually used milk chocolate but think it would be pretty with a drizzle of white and whatever flavor chocolote you like.

These are SO GOOD! I used the silicone mat, but doubled the recipe and used a jelly-roll pan. I had no trouble with it burning, or with getting the toffee mixture spread on the graham crackers before baking, and I had the nuts in it. I cooked it on the stove for 2 minutes, baked for 15 minutes. It will cut or break up easier when still chilled, but I took it off the Silpat before that, so not to damage it. These are a hit, for sure, chewy caramel pecan in the middle. Made me think of "Turtles" candy. I'll keep this one, and have already shared with friends and family.

Made these today and I must say I'm really disappointed. I've been making a recipe similar to this one but using saltines and semi-sweet chocolate chips that is much better than this one. The mixture for on top of the graham crackers separated when I tried to cut these, and because of the sweetness, I cut in small squares...won't make this one again...sorry....

Recipe sounded good. The toffee like center was very good, the addition of the pecans yummy. The graham crackers a twist, and the salt on top an unexpected surprised. The dark chocolate (I bought Ghiardelli, not good, it gave it an overall bitterness. Should have used semi-sweet or milk chocolate. Either change the chocolate or don't bother making it.
