These cookies are great. I followed the recipes with just any sugar and they still tasted delicious. Although these come in a close second to Giada's Chocolate Hazelnut Cookies. Since chocolate makes you thirsty make sure you try this with a nice tall glass of cold milk

Just made these cookies following the recipe. They did not come out very good, very dry. the only thing I can think of is there should have been 1 cup of butter instead of 1 stick as the recipe calls for.

These made great thumbprints. Filled with strawberry jelly and they were great.

I was looking for an easy and basic chocolate cookie dough recipe to use with my Andes mint chips, which I just bought to try on a fluke. This was really very tasty...I had natural process cocoa, not dutch, but it worked fine. I also added the bag of mint chips and a few chopped pecans for a festive holiday cookie. I am taking it to a party and think it will bring good reviews.

I'm going to try these with the peppermint Hershey kisses--make them like the peanut blossoms.
