Fantastic - easy to spice up or leave creamy and bland. A great warm weather dish to make ahead. Could serve these 'shooter' style for a party.

Fantastic and so simple! I substituted the sour cream with Greek yogurt for less fat an added protein the second time I made it and it was just as great!

I usually don't care for cold soups, but I added a couple of garlic cloves and a little hot pepper and yummy!

I added a jalapeno pepper, 2 Tbs. chopped cilantro, 1 Tbs. fresh dill and a couple of garlic cloves to spice things up a bit and it was delicious. I agree that the original recipe sounded a little too bland for me. However, I loved it with the additions and will make it often.

This was completely bland (gave it 1 star because that is the minimum required to post, to me it was a ZERO!. Rather than "soup" it would maybe pass as a dressing... Soup implies a bowl full, and there is no way you could stomach a bowl of this! I think it was a waste of [expensive] avocados. I recommend you let the avocado shine by making a yummy guacamole instead!

I took this to a big cocktail party. Because we didn't have enough hands to eat soup while drinking and standing, I poured it in little plastic "shooters" like shot glasses and topped with sour cream and chives. It was a huge hit. People loved drinking the soup and it's a fantastic recipe for something light and fresh.

Wow - This is so ridiculously refreshingly good, and was insanely easy to make. I'm planning girls night cocktail & appetizer night - and have always wanted to try a chilled soup - practiced it this evening, and it is a winner... can't wait to share this with all my best friends!

This was a pretty good recipe, but I added garlic powder (fresh garlic next time and chili powder. In addition, I topped it with crispy cheddar chipotle tortilla strips. Very creamy. Be sure to use a really ripe avocado. Would be delicious topped with pico de gallo.

This was my 1st ever cold avocado soup. I was a little hesitant to eat cold avocado soup but after making this I think it's so delicious! What a perfect light summer snack or meal. I am going to take this recipe and try adding other things to jazz up the flavor but all in all, this recipe will be my go to! :
