I've used this recipe for years. I use it to make gravy also. So many people say you can't make ham gravy. It is wonderful and my whole family devours it.

Terrific glaze. Kept spooning it up over the ham as it cooked, mixed with the drippings. I had steamed carrots, and it was delicious on the carrots as well. Will make it for carrot even when I don't cook ham. Thanks

Oh My Goodness! This was the first Christmas Ham I have ever made.. and it was AmAzInG! I could not believe the sweet from the juices, honey and brown sugar, but then that lil spice from the chipotle peppers!! This was so delish... and I will use this recipe for years to come. Also... it was so EZ!!
Thanks

DEELISH! I made it for Easter and now my family has requested it along with a turkey for Thanksgiving this year.
It's the only way that I will ever bake a ham!

This was so easy and tasted so YUMMY! I omitted the cloves for I didn't have any on hand and just used the mustard, brown sugar, and apple cider vinegar! Definitely beats Saucy Susan and tastes amazing!

I'm giving it a 5 because it is basically the same glaze as I've used for over 50 years. The difference being that I use ONLY a 15 to 20 lb smoked WHOLE ham (I had a large family starting with 4 children when I started cooking. Of course we always had ham to eat for several days. Sandwiches; hash; salad, and picking. They've now grown to 18 members of us: 4 spouses, 8 grands and 2- grands-in- laws. We now have very little left for picking on the day after Christmas.
Oh yes, one more thing: they expect to see pineapples all over it. Talk about SPOILED. But I love them. I'm sure the tradition willl go on. I'm as bad as they are, I love it too and love making it for them. They do everything else and my oldest daughter always volunteers to do the ham, but I haven't relinquished yet.
Merry Christmas to all.

I didn't wait to add the glaze, I added the glaze to the ham and covered it tightly in a clay roaster. After it was done, I put all the glaze into a an open saucepan and reduced it until it was a thickened glaze. Yummm
