Ingredients
- 6 ounces unsweetened chocolate
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 3/4 cups sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 1/4 cups flour
- 3/4 cup each white and dark chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup toasted ground pecans (optional)
Directions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Place the chocolate and butter in a large metal bowl set over a pan of simmering water. When the chocolate is just melted, remove from the heat. Add the sugar and mix well. Add the eggs and vanilla and mix well. Add the flour, chips and pecans, and mix well. Drop by large spoonfuls onto a well-greased sheet pan. Bake 7 to 10 minutes, or just until the cookies are set. Let cool on the pan at least 5 minutes, then remove.

The first time I made these cookies the batter was too runny, I added another 3/4 cup of fllour. Were very good but needed more work. I'm going to try again by using cocoa instead of chocolate.

This recipe needs some work. The batter was runny, so I refridgerated the dough. It was messy to work with as well. I followed the recipe exactly and I ended up w/ flat, sticky cookies. It needs either less eggs or more flour. I gave it 1 star for flavour. Won't make these again.
