As someone who really doesn't like to bake, not good at it, this is a great, no fail alternative. Delicious and easy. I gradually melted the butter, then added sugar, heat on medium so not to burn. I freeze mine once dropped on the sheet for about 30 minutes and store in an airtight container chilled, they kept fine this way for the 2 weeks they were in my house. This is a rich sweet cookie that's more like candy.

Pretty good, but 1 tablespoon of vanilla is way too much.

This is my new favorite cookie recipe! It was so easy and so delicious and hardly any mess to clean up afterwards... score!

For the record - I'm not very savvy in the kitchen, but I can follow a recipe. In this one I used unsweetened cocoa & crunchy peanut butter because that's what I had on hand... otherwise I didn't alter the recipe in any way. Everything worked out great... these are delicious & I can't wait to bring them to work tomorrow!

I had never ever had these until a friend made them for us. She shared this link with me and I decided to give them a try. Unfortunately, they didn't set well the first time I tried. I had to freeze them for a little before they set and even then I had to leave them in the fridge.

Then I observed my friend's sister make them and she said that you have to let it boil for 2 min before adding the last 3 ingredients. I did that this time and they turned out perfect. They started setting in a couple mins. Perfect!

I made these today and they turned out PERFECTLY! I did not modify the amounts of any of the ingredients, but I did follow some others' suggestions. 1 I melted the butter first, then added the milk, sugar and cocoa. 2 I boiled these ingredients for 2-4 minutes, then removed it from the heat completely before adding the oats and peanut butter. 3 I let the mixture cool for a couple minutes before dropping onto waxed paper. They are set up beautifully and taste oh so yummy! Great recipe!

The ingredients on the list are perfect. I have several great no-bake cookie recipes. Never seen milk added, but it works. However, DO NOT let it boil. Keep it on LOW heat until everything is melted. I usually make my grandma's recipe and tonight I decided to follow this one exactly. I let it boil for maybe 30 seconds and the cookies came out hard as a rock. The sugar almost crystallized instantly upon boiling (NOT what you want in no-bake cookies!. Always use REAL unsalted butter. Margarine makes them runny and won't harden. Melt the butter first, add the sugar, then the milk, then cocoa. Don't add the peanut butter until you remove the pot from the heat. It will burn the peanut butter and give it an awful taste. I also don't recommend dumping all the oats in at one time. If you use exact measurements (to the T!, 3 cups of oatmeal is too much.

I was disappointed they did set up. I did follow the direction. I think it did not cook long enough. There was not enough info about what the temp should have been.

I followed all of the measurements listed above. Mostly all of the comments say theey've made changes and then rate it 5 star. Well what's the point in that? I followed the recipe exactly. IT turned out great! Here's a few tips:
Melt butter first, add the milk, then the sugar, then the cocoa. It makes it easier to stir and bring to a boil. Same with peanut butter vanilla and oats. Add the peanut butter, then the vanilla, then the oats! It also turns out awesome if you replace the butter for margerine. Either way, it's awesome. P.S. To make it easier also, measure your ingredients before you put them over heat so you're not measuring while its boiling.
