I have had this recipe since I was around 8 or 9 years old; 50 now! I loved making them, as they required no baking. You can (practically! never burn them, unlike so many other batches of cookies over the years, made in the oven! My sister made them for my 50th birthday, Thanksgiving Day. : I want to make them again for work. This is a classic, easy, crowd pleaser. It will remain a favorite for years to come. :

Very Good cookie! I love baking, especially with chocolate :0
Best results if put in freezer for ten minutes. I didn't boil mine long and they set fine. Had the mixture on the stove for total of five minutes.

This is also a fabulous GLUTEN FREE recipe! One of my husband's co-workers was recently diagnosed with celiac disease and I needed a cookie recipe that he could also eat. I just substituted the oatmeal with Bob's Red Mill Gluten Free Old Fashioned Rolled Oats. They turned out wonderful and my husband's co-worker has asked for the recipe. Win!

I think that no bake cookies are the best and maybe a little bit healthier to eat than any other cookie. this is a great recipe to use and everybody should try it.

This recipe is the greatest...I came across it by accident one day., tried it and it was a hit with all my friends and family. I am Italian and bake quite a bit, especially on the holidays. I am a great cookie and fudge maker, and when I bake everyone wants to try new cookies. Well, I did , and everyone loved the no bake cookie. I keep them in the freezer, especially during the summer months. They are soooooo good. I wrap them individually in little clear bags with ties when giving them away. If you love oatmeal and chocolate you will love these...JP

These are TO DIE FOR! I had perfect results after making the following changes to the recipe: I cut the sugar back to 1 1/2 cups, cut the butter back to 1/3 cup, and boiled the mixture while stirring for 2 1/2 minutes. I then let the mixture cool off the burner for about 1 1/2 minutes before gradually adding the peanut butter and vanilla. Once those ingredients were incorporated I added quick oats gradually, stirring to incorporate. I then scooped the batter by the teaspoon onto a wax paper lined cookie sheet and immediately put it in the freezer. After 20 minutes they were ready to serve! Fool proof perfection! I made these for an after school snack for my kids - great source of protein and fiber with the oats and peanut butter! Make these - your family will love them!!!!!

Recipe is good with the exception of the amount of milk. 1/2 cup only gives you a very short window to hit the softball stage perfectly. I used 3/4 cup and had a little more time to bring it to perfection.
