I have loved these since my mom made them for us as teenagers in the early 60s!! I made them for my children and now for my grandchildren. I'm a recipe follower but today I found that I only had regular oatmeal and no milk, just whipping cream so that's what I used. I brought the cream, butter, cocoa, sugar to the beginning of a boil and then added the regular oatmeal and lightly boiled for 2-3 minutes. Let it cool down a bit then added the peanut butter and vanilla. My measurement of a slightly heaping tsp. made 64 cookies which works well since they are rich. Already had two - YUM!!

These are delicious with the sweet bonus of being gluten free!!!!! If you think no bake cookies are weird...just think of them as candy...because that's really what you're making : My batch made 44- 2 inch "cookies"

I made this recipe with some friends and none of use really liked it. Some people thought it was to sweet and others thought it was bitter. I love these type of cookies, but this recipe was not very good. I would not recommend this recipe to anyone.

My sister used to make these when I was little. I literally just made a batch for my husband who has never heard of no-bake cookies, and it took me from start to finish, 15 minutes. Great idea for a last minute dessert idea for a party and busy moms, (ya know, when they tell you the night before that they need a dish for a party or bake sale the next day? lol. I loved them as a kid, and still love them!
