Love this recipe! For those of you having trouble with setting, just boil your mixture a little longer...the longer a sugar mixture boils the thicker the consistency becomes (same principle as making candy! I did mine about 3-4 minutes. I also mixed in my peanut butter at a low boil then removed from the heat. They turned out perfect and set in less than 15 minutes!

I made these last night, following the recipe to the "T". I noticed alot of people commented that it doesn't set, and after around 3 hours in the fridge, mine were not set either. However, I checked them this morning and after having been in there all night uncovered on the baking sheet, they have set beautifully. My mom used to let me help her make these when I was little. I am so glad to find the recipe and especially glad that they are as delicious as I remember!

Awesome! If you bring ingredients to a boil and then let it ALMOST completely cool before adding peanut butter, oatmeal and vanilla, the cookies will set up perfectly. It works because the peanut butter is what " glues " it all together. Hope this helps!

They are definately tasty but they don't set up all the way. I found by adding an extra 3/4 cup of oatmeal or coconut dramatically effected the results by helping it set up perfectly.

Yummy, yummy! So fudgy and delicious, however, I did give 4 stars as they did NOT set up, they have actually been in my fridge 3+ hours and I have to scrape them off the wax paper with a spoon, but again, delicious.. (:

OMG I love these cookies! We've always made these just the way the recipe says. However, my daughter-in-law is allergic to cocoa so we had to come up with a plan B. Instead of cocoa, we added 2 squares of Baker's Premium white chocolate baking squares. This makes a little more liquid so we added an extra cup of oats. DELICIOUS!! We didn't miss the cocoa at all and she was able to enjoy them too!

These are a great, quick cookie when you just want something a little sweet. I used almond milk and natural peanut butter and they are great!
