I go to this recipe when I forget what's in it. I always leave out the cardamon and use less ginger than this recipe calls for. The longer this recipe marinates the better it is. I only use the Manichetivich (sp wine, which doesn't disappoint. It tastes like what I remember as a child.

I have been making this Haroset for years & it is simply the BEST! I do leave out the crushed cardamom seeds as I don't have any in the house. Everyone at the Sedar table loves it as do my children (they eat it as a snack with Matzo during Passover. In fact, they have asked for me to make it at other times as well! Make this.... you won't be disappointed!
