Hi, am from Puerto Rico, sorry to tell you,"ORIGINAL" Puerto Rican Coconut Milk-Rum "Coquito" we do NOT add salt nor eggs, we use 151 proof rum, or moonshine some folks used brandy, we used all coconut milk & water, we grate the cononut, squeze the milk using also the water to squeeze all the milk out of the grated coconut, (hard work but it pays off we used the grated coconut to make our famous, "arroz dulce or con coco", thanks, I love all your recepies,

I agree with the other posting, the person who submitted this recipe needs to learn how to make real coquito.
Use this one and you'll be grateful
2 eggs beaten
1 (12 fluid ounce can evaporated milk
1 (14 ounce can cream of coconut
1 (14 ounce can sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup white rum
1/2 cup water
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Mix everything and serve.
