I made these today right after watching the show. I had never made whoopie pies before and something about her recipe made me want to give it a try. I like that the filling is not all shortening. However, the granulated sugar used in the filling was a little crunchy and I wonder if powdered sugar would be a better choice next time. The cakes were lovely and moist, and the filling was not too sweet. So overall, very successful!

Everything that Paula cooks is delicious. Everyone that Gordon Elliott gives a show to are """"THE BEST""""". I just wish Paula wouldn't lick hercooking tools and then put them back in her dishes, She is one of the best though.
