This frosting is perfect exactly as stated in the recipe. No need to change a thing. I used the frosting on a giant chocolate chip cookie cake (Emeril Lagasse's recipe found on Food Network's website. I added blue food coloring to about 1/4 cup of reserved frosting to make decorative balloons. It came out great!

This has got to be the easiest recipe ever! I substituted whipped cream cheese, and I put more cream cheese than butter (slightly and it came out perfectly. I used it on banana bread (also from this site, and what a delicious combination. My family is going to love this for dessert!

I used whipped cream cheese because that's all I had and it turned out great. I will definitely use this one again.

Delicious frosting. Easy to make. I usually add just a touch (prob an extra 2 tbs? more cream cheese then the recipe calls for because I like the flavor of cream cheese. And I usually use this frosting on cupcakes that are not overly sweet (ex: chocolate coffee cupcakes so the flavor is more balanced and not just sweet on sweet. I used to think I couldn't bake from scratch, but it really is very easy. I don't think I could ever eat a boxed cake or tub of store bought icing again now that I know what they should taste like. If I'm going to eat the calories, it may as well be worth it!

I like how simple this was to make; this was my first attempt at making my own frosting. However, I agree with some of the other reviews in that it was too sweet. I'll probably try again with half the sugar and maybe a little more cream cheese.
