I found the longer you simmer it, the creamier the texture, so I let it cook for about 20 minutes, adding cream as needed, and it was more like what I've had at expensive steak houses. Also some comments say it was too liquidy, I think they were using frozen spinach. If you do that, you would need to squeeze out all of the water before cooking it. We were really happy with this side dish!

I made this as a side dish for Christmas. My family loved it and it was truly delicious! Thanks Paula!

It is a very simple, easy, and delicious dish but I like to put a spin on it to make sure that there is not allot of liquid by putting the sauteed spinach in a slow cooker to reduce the liquid.

One of the comments posted earlier mentioned that "they didn't remember to drain the spinach"....well the directions do not tell you to do so. I agree with the post that it did not reduce and there was still too much liquid after cooking MANY extra minutes. However, the taste was good...just not the consistency.

This was the best creamed spinach I have ever had. As my daughter said, it wasn't too spinachy(what ever that is, but she is right. It wasn't too strong at all. Very easy, very good.

At last! This was the only way she could get me to eat spinach as a child, and when she passed, I actually missed it I tried to recreate it many times and failed. It's a very simple recipe, but, obviously, very important to me. Thank you!

I have never tried creamed spinach before and I decided to make steak today. Knowing that cream spinach is a popular side dish for steak I decided to try this recipe out. It was a hit! So easy, so tasty. I will make this again.
