i am from the south and we would not call this a biscuit. Biscuits are made from flour, shortening or butter and milk or buttermilk, we don't put cornmeal in our biscuits. we put cornmeal in cornbread or to bread fish.

I made these sandwiches with the proscuitto. They were tasty and light but not the best sandwich I have ever had - hence the four star rating.

I reduced the corn meal because we like them softer and less crunchy, especially for a traditional breakfast. I put Pamesan in every batch of biscuits I make these days. Thanks Giada. And just for the record, I don't see anything wrong with your clothes, not that I watch your show to learn about fashion. I want to learn about cooking - and you sure know how to do that.

THIS IS THE 1ST TIME I HAVE EVER COMMENTED ON OTHER PEOPLE'S "REVIEWS". YOU SHOULD ALL "GET A LIFE" NOT JUST TERRI. I PERSONALLY AM NOT OFFENDED BY WHAT GIADA WEARS AND I AGREE SHE IS VERY FAMILY ORIENTED. HOWEVER, THIS IS STILL AMERICA AND EVERYONE HAS A RIGHT TO THEIR OWN OPINION. STOP ATTACKING THIS WOMAN FOR EXPRESSING HER RIGHT TO NOT WANT TO WATCH TV AND HAVE HER CHILDREN SEE GIADA'S CLEAVAGE. PERHAPS SOME OF YOU HAVE BECOME SO LIBERAL YOU HAVE FORGOTTEN WHAT MODESTY IS AND THAT CHILDREN ARE NOT MINATURE ADULTS. TERRI WAS VERY COMPLIMENTARY ABOUT GIADA, SHE MERELY EXPRESSED A DESIRE FOR MORE MODEST CLOTHING. YES, SHE COULD CHANGE THE CHANNEL AND AVOID SEEING THIS, HOWEVER THIS IS A "FAMILY FRIENDLY" PROGRAM...NOT EVERYONE THINKS CLEAVAGE IS FAMILY FRIENDLY. IF WE ALL JUST KEEP SAYING EVERYTHING GOES OR JUST KEEP SWITCHING STATIONS AND NOT STANDING UP FOR OUR BELIEFS, PRETTY SOON THERE WON'T BE ANY OTHER STATIONS TO SWITCH TO...THEY WILL ALL BE THE SAME. KEEP SPEAKING YOUR MIND, TERRI...IT'S YOUR RIGHT AS AN AMERICAN AND A GOOD MOTHER. GIADA, YOU ROCK!!!! GREAT BISQUITS!!!!! WE LOVED THEM!!!!!!!!!!!

FORGET THE CLEAVAGE. THOSE OLD BITTY BITTIES HAVE TOO MUCH TIME ON THEIR HANDS TO BE LOOKING AT GIADA'S CLEAVAGE INSTEAD OF HER HANDS AND THOSE LOVELY LITTLE BISCUITS. MMMMMM! SO PLEASE GO GET A LIFE AND TURN OFF THE TV IF YOU DON'T LIKE WHAT YOU SEE. NOTHING SEEMS TO BE SPILLING OUT. I CAN HARDLY WAIT TO TRY THESE BISCUITS, AS WELL AS SOME OF HER OTHER RECIPIES. GIADA IS ONE OF THE BEST. YOU GO GIRL!

I serve the biscuits without the extras. They are a hit everytime I serve them for dinner. The very first time I made these I used grated parmesan cheese (in the spaghetti aisle in the supermarket made the biscuit very salty. My family loved them anyway. Every Giada recipe that I've tried is easy to make and turned out perfect. This recipe by far is my favorite!
