LOVE this recipe! I have been looking for a recipe I can make totally at work. This was perfect. Brought all my stuff in ziptop bags, threw it together and it turned out great! After reading other reviews I have the following hints for some that didn't turn out.
1Don't rinse your pasta
2Use only cheese you have grated yourself ( I used 3 different kinds
3One you mix everything up, put the lid on it and LEAVE IT ALONE!

Try using all canned milk, a mixture of medium/sharp cheddar and montery jack, a touch of smoked paprika, regular paprika, salt, hot sauce, a little bit of butter, and a good quality thick or dense macaroni product and cook in oven on really low temp in a cast iron dutch oven. The canned milk has emulsifiers already added and they keep your macaroni sauce creamy. Undercook your pasta and buy a good quality pasta, not that cheap thin stuff that falls apart at first contact with water. The cast iron dutch oven is the original slow cooker. Try it instead of crockpot

This was gross. So disappointed - I didn't have the curdling issues that others had, but it was way too greasy & rich for our taste.

I just made this and I dont know why so many complained about it. The only thing I changed, was using half crated sharp cheddar with half medium cheddar. I will definitely make this again. So good!

I made this today for lunch and it was great. The only thing I did different is add some cubed ham. So yummy, I'll be making this again

Absolutely delicious. I've tried a few different recipes for mac and cheese and they have always turned out very dry. When I saw Trisha do this I had this Ah ha moment of that's it I've got to try this.
I used the pan and oven method and used 6 cups of cheese. That was the only changes and it was wonderful very moist and cheesy. Will make over and over again.

It looked really yummy when Trisha made it and I couldn't wait to try it. It turned out really nasty. I followed the directions exactly. It looked like cottage cheese and had a weird/mushy consistency when eating it. It was also very oily. (I used block cheese Unfortunatly I had cooked it for a family who was needing to visit a family member in the hospital and didn't have time to cook for themselves. It was untouched (that was embarrasing. I guess I should try on my family first. The portion I took home got thrown out because nobody would eat more than two bites.

Just made this for dinner tonight. It was fantastic, made the whole house smell wonderful! Everyone absolutely loved it! It came out exactly like it looked on the show. I needed a yummy and easy mac and cheese recipe, this will be it for sure!
