This was such a waste of ingredients. I should have read the reviews first. It separated and curdled. I doubled it for a big family event and was embarrassed to serve it. Do not make this!!

I made this for my hubby and 2 yr old granddaughter, who loves Mac & Cheese. She ate a couple of bites and said "Icky" and refused to eat anymore. I grew up with homemade mac & cheese, but this was really bad. The cheese curdled and there was a lot of oil on top. It looked good, but didn't taste good except for the chees flavor, very bland. I followed the recipe except that I used 2% milk. In reading other reviews, others used 2% milk without any problem. I may try again using less cheese and probably a combination of cheeses as someone suggested and maybe leave out the egg too. Leftovers had to be thrown away. What a waste of money.

Tried this twice and both times curdling. Mixed liquids the second time to make sure eggs were thoroughly blended. Still curdling. Ultimately this caused the taste to be no so favorable. Oh well!

It was pretty good. I used equal parts extra sharp cheddar and 2% Velvetta. I also used 2% milk instead of whole. Will make again when I want a crockpot mac&cheese.

We are big mac and cheese lovers, my daughter was having an office party and I made this in a 6 qt crockpot, I don't have great strength in my hands so I purchaseed already shredded sharp cheese. Not only did the office love it, they cleaned out the crock pot and sent it home empty. So I had to make it again for the family and wow it was great and so easy

This was the worst Mac n cheese I've ever made! It was very greasy and oily, and ended up being unedible. GROSS!

Made for my husband to enjoy with his friends on a football Saturday. My phone started receiving messages from each of the guys with huge thank yous for this recipe. I was shocked!
I think of the keys to this recipe is hand grating the cheese and keeping it simple with the types. I bought 3 blocks of 8 ounce cheese: cheedar, white sharp cheddar and the 3rd one was a very extra sharp (but only used 1/4 cup of that. I left the macaroni a little undercooked since it was going to be sitting in liquid for 3 hours. I never once lifted the top and it was divine.
Hubby heated it up 2 hours later in the oven and got a nice crisp top to it.
I never ever expected the reaction I got - I thought, it took me less than 10 minutes to make this and they're going bonkers over it! I'll make again for sure.
