I should give 5 stars for taste but after following exact directions, my mac n cheese curdled! That was the only disappointment. How bad can it be when all of it was eaten with little kids going back for seconds! I'm wondering if my slow cooker, like some folks ovens, is a bit hotter?? Will definitely do this again but may try oven method next time.

I made this, but I baked it, I just didn't like the idea of the crockpot. Came out great, however, I would have liked it more "cheesy". Not the recipes fault, I just haven't hit upon the right cheese mixture for my taste. Recipe is very good, easy and has turned out great everytime I have made it.

Great recipe! It's a little wetter than i personally prefer (but i prefer a pretty dry mac n cheese, but because of the raving reviews i got from my relatives at Christmas, and the absolutely wonderful ease of making this great dish all in one crock pot, without any other dishes, without all the fuss, while i had so many other things to do for the holidays, it wins back the star it might've lost for the extra wetness. The wetness is all cheese. It's really pretty awesome. Excellent dish. Super easy.
I doubled the recipe, and i used several different types of pre-shredded cheese because i like a multiplicity of cheese flavor. I did this in a six quart crock pot, instead of a four quart. My crock pot runs a little hot, and it crusted around the edges quite a bit, but that was something some people really like also.

When I looked for a recipe to make home made Mac & Cheese for my family, I came across Trisha's. It looked so good watching the video. I was a little worried by reading some reviews therefore I made sure I followed everything as listed. I have to say that this was nasty, it also look like cottage cheese and was very mushy. There was no flavor and it cost me money that I could have used better for a family side dish. I'm not sure why many reviews said it was great but I have to say I will never follow another recipe again from Trisha. I'm really upset about this...

This had good taste, but I followed the directions exactly and my cheese was curdled looking. Not smooth at all. I wouldn't make it again.

This is my go to recipe for macaroni and cheese. I bring it to all my pot lucks and get raving reviews. It has become a staple in any of our holiday meals as well. I used prepackaged sharp cheddar and it works just as well. I increased the cheese to 5 cups mixed in the mixture and 1 cup sprinkled on top. I also use real butter not margarine

This mac & cheese is very tasty. It is easy to make. I used packaged cheese because I did not have time to shred my own. It still tasted great. The only problem is you have to eat it right away after it is done. I made this at home and took it to my sister's for Christmas Eve dinner and it did dry out a little bit, but it was still very good.
