To the person looking for the "Apple and Onion Confit Crostini". I think this is the one you are looking for. Have a great day.

Has anyone tried this with puff pastry dough instead? Wondering if it's as good or if I should really make the dough. Thanks in advance

Loved this. No problems from start to finish, and for me that's unusual! Not too sweet and even good at room temperature.

I thought this was a delicious. I also had the problem that the filling cooked faster than the dough, so I tried to cover the filling with foil, but it just seemed to take forever. The dough was nice and soft and almost decadent. I'll be making this again. My friends loved it also!

To arleneurso: If you can remember the episode (I can't, sorry, a reviewer tapped the show and gave the apple recipe. Love this recipe. The crust is amazing.

Love the flavors...they meld together well. The filling started to brown way faster than the dough did...the walnuts started to burn a little so I just put foil over the filling to let the dough catch up...voila!!!

Loved it! I usually use a food processor when making a crust, so I was happy that was in there. My husband is an INCREDABLY picky eater, but even he loved it. I did add some extra gorgonzola to mine by sprinkling it on top after I added it to the mixture. I'm even gonna make it again to replace apple pie this year for Thanksgiving

Excellent, easy to make! I made it more like a regular pie, no walnuts and no gorgonzola and it was delicious. I made one with apples and one with peach and thought they both came out fantastic! I always had trouble making pie crust and this is a nice alternative. For the second one I made I did not have quite enough marscapone so I also used some cream cheese and it came out great!
