So good! Here are my modifications: used 2 cups brown splenda like somebody suggested here, melted it on the stove with the water and add the salt, nutmeg, cinamon, all spice and a bit of real honey. I used old fashioned oats and almonds. In Oven for 30 min, mix, another 30 min, mix, add cranberries and raisins, oven for 5 min.
I can't stop eating it :p

I just made this for the first time and it's great! I did add cinnamon and allspice as someone else recommend. Will be making this again.

This is the first time i made granola and the recipe was easy and great. For me, I would have liked more clusters but i will definetly us this recipe again maybe adding a little more of the sugar mixture. Also instead of microwaving the sugar i just put it in a pot on the stove and it worked just fine. Sprinkled with Cinnamon and nutmeg great start to any day. My girls 18 mo. and 12yrs old enjoyed it the same day over yogurt.

Very dissapointed. On the first batch I made, I cooked the sugar mixture for 5 minutes, and it was completely burnt! I had a mound of "syrup" that was as hard as rock. I tried it again, and microwaved it for 2 1/2 minutes. It was a little bit better, but any longer, and it would have been burnt again. After adding the remaining ingredients and more water (it was VERY dry, I baked it for about 30 minutes and had some burnt granola pieces. The flavor was extremely bland! Everyone I gave it to said it was awful. I would add lots more vanilla and cinnamon. Overall, it was a waste of time, money, and ingredients.

So easy....I add cinnamon (to taste....about a tablespoon for me and sometimes coconut and cook it for about 1 hour as I love it crunchy. Love the fact that I can control the the salt and what kind of nuts I can put into it! Great with my yogurt!

I gave this recipe five stars only after I doubled the amount of syrup to put on the granola. Otherwise it was extremly dry.....

I did not even get a chance to taste my first batch because the recipe says to brown for 45 mins, 1 hour, or until golden brown. They were WRONG!!! You only need to let it cook for 20 mins. if you do not want it to burn and smoke out your house. I did everything to a "T" like the recipe said and my granolas was not in the oven for a full 30 mins before it burned really bad. I guess i will try this recipe again at another time and date once I can get the burned smell and smoke out of my house.

My family absolutely loves this recipe! Any idea how many calories per serving? We use it as a snack, on yogurt, with milk. It is the best low calorie granola I ever had.

So good! I found this recipe a year ago and all my friends love this granola. I made this recipe many times with different flavors like shredded coconut, dried fruit, etc. I actually turn up the heat to let it bake faster and it still comes out nicely golden brown. The only caution about trying this recipe is that it can get addicting:
