I never liked homemade granola because it was never crunchy enough, but this was perfect. I wasn't looking for a low fat recipe in particular, but this one has the added bonus of not requiring any butter, margarine or oil.

I love to make this granola. I have made it for all my friends and family and they just love it. They can not believe how simple it is to make. The best thing is that you can place some in a bag and take it to work and you have a healthy snack during the day. I love adding different things to the granola it gives it an extra touch. Almonds, Walnuts your Omega-3 source and then some dried fruit all give it a great extra punch. I recommend this to anyone on the go. Make it during the weekend and you have a snack for the week for you and your family.

I made a test run of this today and it was very good. Light and filling, not overpowering. The only thing I suggest is that you follow the directions. I used a fourth of the recipe on a cookie sheet and it didn't clump very well. Also, depending on your stove, keep an eye on it while it is baking. Mine was a little bit toasty. So the recipe was awesome!

This granola is better than any granola you could buy in the grocery store, you make it so you know what's in it PLUS you can add all kinds of dried fruits or just keep to the recipe. For a morning cereal though, 10 grams of fat is a lot of fat and if you add milk (unless it's skim milk you have to add those fat calories too. We enjoy it as a dry granola, but I'm not sure from the recipe what a serving is -- 1 cup or 1/2 cup?

I absolutely love this granola!!! It is crunchy and lightly sweetened, tastes great with yogurt or chocolate ice cream!! My 5 year old daughter loves to eat it by itself. I don't care for dried fruits in my granola, so was happy to find this recipe. I personally use a mixture of chopped hazel nuts and pecans instead of the walnuts or almonds.
I reccomend it to anyone who wants a great plain granola!!

This turned out great and was so easy to make. Tastes just like what you buy in the store. I don't think I'll ever buy another box of granola!
