Yum Yum. I have always wanted to make a mango salsa...my daughter loves mangoes. This recipe looked like it would be a great and it was. I did a couple of things differently...I used a jalapeno instead of the chile and I sprinkled a little of honey over it at the end just to bring out the sweetness a bit more. It was delicious! I let it stay in the refrigerator for a couple of hours and then put it on top of broiled chicken to serve. A winner!

Wow, this is like dessert. I used Ataulfo mangos, which I've heard are the BEST, and this recipe was really the most delicious mango salsa I've ever had. Not too spicy, I don't think mango salsa should be all about the heat anyway. And no ingredients like tomatoes or peppers, which in my opinion confuse the flavors that are so perfect and balanced in this recipe. Don't change a thing, make it just as written. Perfect!!

Try adding some avocado too... could do without the chili's though-- added some red and orange pepper and jalapenos and tomatoes and it came out divine

just tried this! I actually used canned Mangos (because that's what I had in house and it turned out great with a few mods: 1 chopped avocado, 1/2 chopped seeded tomato, 1 1/2 jalapenos ribbed, and 1/4 each of chopped red and green pepper. Everything else was according to recipe. I would love to try this with fresh mengo because they are a bit mushy but with the avocado and tomato it really adds a fresh flavor and gives you the consistency that is probably missing with the canned mango.
    Thanks!

Good recipe- to spice it up even more, I used a 1 scotch bonnet pepper instead of the serrano chili, and a red onion instead of yellow. I also added a red and green bell pepper and some cilantro.

Everyone at the party raved about this! I made minimal changes. I replaced small minced onion with half of a minced red onion. I also added one seeded and ribbed jalapeno. I've been asked for the recipe 5 times.

Great Recipe !!! Of course I changed it too. Exchanged the Serrano Chile for TWO Jalapeneo chiles (with seeds removed. Added some diced Red, Orange, Yellow, and Green Bell peppers. Also added some Cilantro instead of the onion and a splash of Balsamic Vinegar.

    WOW !!!
