I thought that this recipe was more for donuts. I put in all the ingredients slowly just to make sure and get them right. Once I started putting in the four eggs, the dough got really runny and does not work with a small bag. I did not put the other egg but had to put more flour which still did not bring the dough as I wanted. The taste is there because it has flavor with the sugar and cinnamon but the dough is the problem. D not really recommend and is better to look for a different recipe.

Made these last night and they were very tasty, but not very churro-like. I followed the directions exactly, but when it came to adding the eggs the batter resembled creamed corn. I ended up adding all 5 eggs (one at a time, as specified and with lots of muscle and patience got the batter to be less clumpy and bizarre.
The churros were thin and airy, and when added into the brown paper bag and shaken, they deflated somewhat and lost their stiffness (what little they had. I tried experimenting by changing the pastry tip from a star shape to an open circle to make them thicker, but they still did not resemble churros.
We didn't even use half the batter and had a definite surplus for 4 people.
They were delicious, but everything made from flour, sugar, cinnamon, and oil is delicious.
I would not use this recipe again. I would search for another.

These tasted good and were easy to make but next time I make churros, I'll try another recipe. I thought these were too light and airy, as opposed to the thick density that I prefer.

It appears that several of these reviews aren't about the churros at all but about Daisy being back on tv. That was frustrating since I pick a recipe based on the ratings. I'm not sure if I did something wrong in this recipe, they had a strong egg taste to them and they were too light. I only used 4 eggs but they were extra large so maybe that was the problem. The churros I'm used to eating are more dense and cake like then these. They didn't taste like churros at all.

I am currently working on starting a catering business, where the foods I make I want to be made from scratch as much as possible. While searching the internet for items I want to include in my catering items suggestions, were Churros. So then, as I was searching on how to make homemade Churros, I came across this recipe and decided to give it a try. I had the whole thing done from start to finish in a little under a half an hour. My family loved these Churros and they did taste really good. The only problem that I found was that the Churros seemed a little more soft then crispy, like I thought they would be. Not ever making Churros before, I thought maybe the dough not be stiff enough. The recipe calls for 4-5 eggs, but doesn't specify medium or large. I used 4 large eggs. I am going to try this recipe again, but am only going to start with two eggs and then add a 3rd one. I will play with it a few times and hopefully I can get it "down to a science."

OK, something drastic happened between the recipe for Churros and the result out of the pan! I love Churros and these tasted good but...these didn't even resemble a churro. They were too thin so I added flour but even thicker they didn't resemble the correct dough coming out of the tip. These were an absolute MESS! I'm 73 years old and have cooked for over 60 of these years but I've never had such a total disaster as these churros were! I dearly love Daisy and look forward to her shows but can someone tell me what I did wrong?!?

I was delighted when I saw Daisy on TV... You are truly an EXCELLENT representation of a Latin Cook....
I have tried a couple of your recipes you have NOT let me down... when I cooked it, pretty much it looked and it tasted just like I had imagined it would.

Thank you so kindly for sharing those wonderful recipes.
