SUCH A PLEASURE WATCHING HER, I FEEL LIKE SHE IS A FRIEND. THE CHURROS ARE WONDERFUL. MY GRANDCHILDREN ADORE THEM AND I SERVED THEM WITH ICE CREAM - BECAUSE THEY LOVE EVERYTHING WITH ICE CREAM. KIDS ARE SO SMART! GOOD LUCK ON THE SHOW, I HOPE I AM INVITED INTO YOUR KITCHEN AGAIN AND AGAIN.

Daisy, I am so happy to see you on The Food Network! I hope that your program stays forever. Good Luck! I have tried almost all of your recipes. and they all are really good. I wish you the best for all the energy and love you put on what you do.

Regarding your book, when I bought it I thought that it deserved an award because of all the sweet moments you shared with us, along with the recipes, and because it was written in such a way that I did not want to stop reading. In fact, I think you should keep writing books so full of family life and inspiration. We need more people like you in this world.

I love your Viva Daisy Show. Daisy Cooks is one of my favorite cookbooks and i am looking forward to cooking Mexican Churros. You are authentic and I hope they put your show on in the evening too. Anyone who wants to learn the abc's of latin cooking just has to watch your show. Keep up the good work.

    Hey Daisy!!!!

I am sssssoooooooooooooo happy you finally made it to Food network!!! I have been waiting for you!!!! I watched you on PBS. The first recipe was bean cakes!

Daisy I cooked for years as a chore to just feed my family. When they all grew up and left the nest I conveniently forgot how to cook!! You inspired me to start cooking again for fun!! You were my muse Daisy!! My husband bought your cookbook for me for Christmas because we both love you!!

THANK YOU Food Network for bringing my Daisy back to me!!!
    Big hugs and welcome!!

These churros are just like the ones I grew up eating in San Diego and Mexico. They are delicious. My family is thrilled that they will be getting churros more often now since they are so easy to make. These are outstanding with the spicy Eggs La Paloma from the same episode, but they would be great anytime. The dough makes a light, delicately flavored donut like treat. If you don't have a pasty bag, just put the dough in a gallon sized baggie, cut off one bottom corner of the bag (about a 1/2 inch cut and squeeze the dough out into the oil. Fry them until they are evenly browned and crispy. Yum!!!
