I make these every Christmas for my dad who is Italian, he loves them. This is the best recipe I have found.

Absolutely the best. I had lost my mother's recipe and I am 86. It brought back so many memories of my childhood when my uncle owned a bakery on 9th avenue in New York. I did not coat with the heavy cream, I just coated the biscotti with sesame seed and they were perfect. Many thanks for the perfect recipe. Anna Torpy

When my Italian Grandma made these, they were a little bit sweeter than these. This recipe needs 1/2 cup more sugar. Also, she used to just put the seeds on the top so they weren't so messy. Try it - you'll get a better result and still get the strong sesame seed flavor.

These cookies reminded me of cookies we had from the italian bakery as kids. I made them for a family party and everyone loved them. A little messy with the sesame seeds but well worth it!

Being from an Italian family, Italian biscuits are a favorite for dessert because they're not too sweet. I made these to bring to a family dinner and everyone thought they came from the local bakery! A little messy with the heavy cream and sesame seeds, but well worth the little bit of mess! I've got more to make this weekend!!

Since my grandma's death "Regina Cookies" aren't made in our family very much. Of course grandma never wrote her recipes down, so nobody really knew how she made them. I searched on the net and came upon this recipe, and I'll be honest..being an Italian-American I didn't expect much. Let me tell you, these cookies were awesome....just like grandma's! They get even better after a day or two. I never watched Dan & Steve's show before, but I just may after trying this recipe..it's a winner.

Contrary to the recipe, it makes quite a bit more than the recipe indicates. Excellent for a large group. Not too sweet. I would make it again for a large group.
