It's a 4-star recipe with some modifications. Agree with other reviewers that it's too bland. I added garlic, lime juice, jalapeno and chipotle salsa for some extra flavor and kick. I also added some chopped red onion and cilantro at the end to make it look nicer!

So good. I included the water in the black bean can, 4 garlic cloves, peppers and a whole red onion-yummy.

I found this recipe to be quite tasty and it made a whole lot more than I thought it would. I also added a clove of garlic and a bit more hot sauce for some extra oomph. Next time I will add some lime juice! Regardless, the dip was quite a hit and will make again!

I followed the recipe and added half of lime juice, one garlic clove, and 1 tablespoon of white vinegar and it is good.

I agree with some of the other reviews that say this needs more liquid. I ended up using evoo, but wish I'd kept some of the bean liquid. I also added some garlic powder and the juice from half a lime. I'd make it again, but I might tweak the ingredients a bit more.

I made this for a small dinner party and thought with the fresh ingrediants it would be great, but this was totally not eatable! My guest and husband were truthful when they said "what a waste of black beans".

Easy and fast. As others have said, needs more oomph. First time I made this, I added fresh jalepeno, a squirt of lime, and doubled the tomato (this adds flavor and helps add liquid. Needs plenty of salt (unless you use heavily salted beans or canned tomato. Next time I will add garlic too.

A great low-fat and healthy snack!

Threw this together as a side dish for some barbeque ribs. Very good, although I didn't add the tomato. I may up the spices somewhat next time.

A Good base, but needs more liquid (reserved liquid from canned beans a good option. Water or olive oil would work, too.
