I made this pasta salad for a Father's Day picnic. I mostly followed the recipe, but only salted taste because of the previous reviews. Also, I added mini balls of fresh mozzarella. The salad really looks beautiful! I let the salad sit over night so the flavors could intensify, but the next day, the pasta didn't have much flavor. To remedy this, I add the zest of one lemon and combined the juice of another lemon with some extra virgin olive oil, salt and pepper to create a dressing that I poured over the salad just before serving. This helped add more flavor. The sald tasted very light and refreshing. The basil added a nice taste.

My husband and I think this recipe was very bland and tasteless.

I really like the easiness of this dish I did however kind of found it missing something so I added some parmeson and red bell peppers which gave it a bit of sweetness along with the acidity and saltiness which I scaled back by almost half. Great dish for a rookie like myself.

Possibly this recipe would have been better without so much salt. Maybe there's a typo in the directions?

I thought this recipe was bland. I added parmesan cheese, black pepper, artichokes and increased the amount of lemon juice. I worked with a good concept but I made it a much better recipe.

3 teaspoons of salt?!? We almost gagged on it when we tasted it. We had to rinse the pasta to try to get excess salt off and toss it again. It was OK after we did that; the basil flavor was refreshing.
