Dan and Steve are really great w/'breaking down' a recipe in steps to prepare easily, like this one. We keep frozen Challah on regular basis. This is different than a raisin bread pudding.Refreshing and adjust the level of sweetness accordingly. We Never put All the sugar{s} recommended. This is a great any time of year recipe. I bought 2 of The Hearty Boys cook~books. So glad~ 1 to read through and the other for cooking-baking. Worth both, would buy again!

Have made this at least a dozen times and everyone loves it. I love it because it's simple to whip up earlier in the day and pop it in the oven when we sit down to dinner. I usually top with a whisky sauce instead of the blueberry cream. Someday I might also try this as French Toast...

Very good and light although there is 2 cups of heavy cream and whipped cream on top-the blueberries are great and I think strawberries would work equally as well

As with Dave Lieberman, I stay up to watch Party Line and Dave because I think they're not allowed to let their "lights shine" in prime time!

My friend loves bread pudding and this one is perfect.

I've made many different bread puddings over the years and this is by far the simplest and best tasting recipe I've used. I couldn't find Challah bread the second time I made it so I just used the supermarket's french bread (it tastes better if you let it get a bit stale for at least a day if you can and it worked just as well! LOVE this recipe, and so has everyone I've made it for!

My husband wanted bread pudding for dessert on his birthday, so I selected this recipe after reading the reviews. I'd never made bread pudding before, so I was looking for a fairly simple recipe and this one fit the bill. I was worried that simple would equal mediocre but that was not at all the case here. The whole family LOVED it. My husband isn't a huge blueberry person so I subbed raspberries and the results were still awesome. Try this recipe - it's a keeper!

This dish was a huge success. Simple to make, and had great flavor. Extremely addicting, I ate way to much of this because it was so good. I highly reccomed including the blueberries.

This bread pudding is delicious enough, and the flavors of lemon and blueberries are perfect for summer enjoyment. The first time I made this I made it according to the recipe and it's delicious, creamy, but not figure friendly. I used fat-free evaporated milk the next time, tweaked the lemon a little, and it's perfect and I don't feel too bad about having a tiny second serving. French bread would work too, of course, but do try it with the challah, the richness of the bread makes this dish extra rich and special.
