This stuffing recipe is the boss, and nothing can or ever will come close to it. It's so simple, so flavorful, and is kicks the pants off of your run-of-the-mill stuffing. The only thing that I do differently is substitute bacon for the sausage, and I usually add an additional leek, just because I love leeks. My only complaint is that the bread cube to chicken stock ratio is a bit off, and I usually use far less bread cubes than the recipe requires. That is more personal preference though. As long as you stick to the basic ingredients, you can't go wrong...so delish!!!

I made this without the sausage since some people at dinner don't like sausage. It was the best stuffing I have ever made or ate. The apples and cranberries added so much flavor to this.

This dressing is delicious and my third year serving it! You can make it the day before and when baked, comes out perfect. I used less salt due to the sausage and two cups of stock. You will not be disappointed with this one!

This is my go-to stuffing recipe! I made this for the first Thanksgiving I cooked in 2008 and can never go back to plain old stuffing again! I even convinced my mother to try this recipe (she has cooked her own recipes for years and she is a convert herself!

Incredible stuffing. Made it for Christmas, it went with all the meats we made (standing rib roast, pork roast and turkey. Had rave reviews.....so glad I made enough for leftovers...its a meal in a spoonful for me!

This was the best stuffing ever! I used about half of the dried cranberries and the rest in golden raisins. I also used Italian bread and sourdough instead of croutons and it was not mushy. Also, I use sage sausage, omitted the sage and used the recommended amount of poultry seasoning bc of the reviews that the sage was too strong. Everything worked out perfectly and my fiancee's family raved about it!

Last year I used the recipe's full serving of cranberries and I got feedback that it was good but a little too sweet. This year I had cranberry sauce and cranberry cider, so I omitted the cranberries from the dish altogether. I like it best without the cranberries. It's super simple to make and very tasty...ESPECIALLY if you use sage flavored sausage! yum!

Absolutely the best stuffing EVER. I make this every year for Christmas and it is always a huge hit. I use turkey sausage for my parents who don't eat pork, but otherwise I change nothing. It is AMAZING. Well worth the work involved in cleaning the leeks, coring the apples, preparing the dried cranberries. Do it a day ahead or in the morning to save time and clean up at dinner time.
