The pita chips are great. I will never buy another bag of premade chips. I decided to just lightly salt and pepper the chips once I doused them with a hit of some cooking spray instead of the olive oil. They were light, crispy and delicious! The dip however had a unique taste that I am sure others will like. I feel that the lemon and bacon were overpowering. I liked how easy it was and will attempt my own variation of it again someday soon.

Good flavor--bacon would be better if sprinkled on top as for when mixed in it becomes a little soggy.

I made the dip for a party, very well received, would make it again. It is best I think at room temp. Was a little different at first (what my husband said nice flavors, very tasty for a change. I used a different pita chip recipe.

This was great! I didn't realize I liked artichokes til now.
I left out bacon for healthful reasons and it was fan-freakin-tastic!

I brought this dish to a new years day brunch, everyone loved it!!! It was fairly simple to prepare and the ingredients were very inexpensive. My two suggestions to this recipe would be to add more bacon, as the bacon flavor becomes a bit muted amidst the sour cream and other ingredients. I would also reccomend lessening the measurement of spices to the pita chips, I followed the recipe and I felt they were very tasty but a bit overbearing to the dip. Cheers!

Easy to make. Not as good as I hoped for. I didn't make the pitas, used crackers instead. Maybe that was the problem.

The pita recipe is an excellent base and technique for many spice variations. I found that the amount of salt (1 Tbsp was way too much and plan to reduce that next time.
Bacon tastes great in everything, but the lemon zest really gave the dip a unique pop. My friends ate it all!
