The epitome of comfort food, this dish is sooooo delicious! I have made this several times and my entire family absolutely loves it. This dish is perfect for a chilly day-it's right up there with pumpkin pie as one of my fall and winter classics.

Very good. Serves your family for a few days. Prepare a day ahead if cooking for a meal during the week. Used all the ingredients; a few extra carrots. Excellent.

This took forever to make but my whole family loved it - even the picky 4 yo who doesn't "yike" mashed potatoes. After reading other reviews, I doubled the tomato paste. I also added dried thyme and a few bay leaves with the veg. It was not lacking in flavor!

This is SO GOOD!! After I made it the first time, my husband asked for it the next week. *I doubled the tomato paste, and added 1 tsp. dried thyme and 1/2 tsp. dried (or rubbed sage to the meat mixture as it was cooking. That really enhances the flavor. Leftovers don't last long. If you're looking for a good shepherd's pie recipe, this is the one!

This recipe was amazing i changed it up a little bit and added some extra tomato paste and Bel-pepper (instead of peas. Defiantly a great recipe I'm glad i stayed up and caught the show.

Wow...this was REALLY good. Was afraid of it being a bit bland since it only calls for salt 'n pepper and I'm used to cooking heavily spiced/Indian food. BUT, it was surprisingly very popular once everyone tried it. I changed a few things, cut up stew meat instead of ground beef (you'll have to cook it a bit longer in the skillet, added mushrooms, rosemary and paprika. (btw, if you can find the recipe's recommended cheese, it really makes the topping!

Excellent Recipe! I was so impressed with this recipe! I made this recipe for St Patrick's Day and It was a huge success! This was my 1st attempt in making Shepherds Pie and I am pleased with the result! I did however tweak it a little bit by adding a little bit more beef stock to the meat and the vegetables than what the recipe asks for and also I used half & half instead of the heavy cream since I didn't have it! It still came out excellent! Will make it again in the near future!
