I'll be making this one again. Just follow the recipe and serve beside just about anything. I made this with Tyler Florence's Rice Pilaf and some dijon mustard marinated pork chops. Delish!

I also made this for my Valentine's Day dinner (I'm a little late posting along with Emeril's Mustard-Crusted Rack of Lamb. It's fantastic! I usually grill asparagus but this is a nice change. I followed the recipe exactly, it's really easy and the asparagus is nice and crunchy and goes perfectly with the shallots. I'll definitely make this again!

This was excellent, and the easiest and most foolproof way to make asparagus that I know. If you follow the prescribed times, the asparagus comes out cooked, but crisp, and the shallots brown nicely. No substitutions or additions needed.

i'm always looking for a recipe that can make a veggie taste terrific. This one does really speciat things with asparagus -- and with almost no adiditonal ingrediaents. I even overcooked the shallots (oops, I used salllots and it still turned out better than I could have hoped. Try this one -- I know I'll be serving it again and again.

I love asparagus and usually just lightly steam it--whole pieces. This recipe was delicious.....and I used Olive Oil and green onions along with the diagonally sliced asparagus. Nice flavor and attractive alongside our Valentine steak dinner. For me, a different way to serve up one of my favorite springtime veggies.
