Easy, different and very good. Served them at a Tapas dinner and they were a hit!

I made these for a Spanish Food/Wine themed party. They were delicious and everyone loved them. I used Medjool dates with the pits in them. The pits were easy to remove when I cut the dates in half. They were pretty large, which was good because the cheese and the almond needed the space. I used gorgonzola and used lesss than the recipe called for - more like 1/2 t or less. Also, I baked them in the oven and it worked well. About 10 min on each side. I would make these again!
