This was a very good dessert. I added a little more butter than the receipe calls for and it turned out great!.

I used 4 large Granny Smith apples for this recipe which in no way was enough to fill a 9x13 baking dish - maybe 1/2 of it. So I used a 9x9 pan. I made the topping using the recipe he gave on the actual show (which was 1 cup each flour, oats and nuts, 1/2 c. butter and 1/2 cup brown sugar and I have 1/2 of it left over in the freezer for another use. The finished dessert was only OK, in my opinion. The topping was too grainy. Too much flour and oats to the amount of butter used. Not as crisp as I like. Sorry Dave.

I was searching for a recipe that would satisfy me and my daughter's sweet tooth. This recipe is very easy, yet you can dress it up to make it yummier. Simplicity was the key. This recipe was perfect, next to my homemade beef stew, this apple crumble was great. Two warm dishes, to sooth the belly. Thanks Dave.

I make this on a sunday and eat it for breakfast the rest of the week. it tastes more harvesty and hearty than other apple crisps that i have had...those have tasted more like sugar coated apples.

Definitely one to add to the receipe book. My wife just loved it! Easy to make and had a great taste. I added 1/2 cup of raisins to the apple mixture which added more flavor. Served with and without vanilla yogurt ice cream and either way a great dessert!
