My Japanese husband LOVES this soup! I use all sorts of greens for this recipe, not necessarily cabbage. As long as you get the base for the soup in right, you can use any green or mushroom. Add noodles and/or tofu. Yumm!

Was pretty good. It would def be better with either tofu or some type of noodle.

We love this soup for rainy days and when one has a cold! We like our food spicey so I add more ginger and some Thai hot sauce or a few pepper flakes. Thanks Dave. I miss your show.

I love it. I didn't have any fish sauce, or fresh ginger, used ground ginger instead. It was great. I am thinking of adding a egg to it, sort of like a different spin on egg drop soup. This was great on the cold, rainy day we had today.

Soup came out great! I'm a vegetarian so I used vegetable broth instead of chicken. I also added more ginger at the end. Next time, I'll try adding tofu or seitan.

Delicious! I added some mei fun noodles, but otherwise I followed the recipe exactly and it was great!

This is a great recipe to prep beforehand and cook right before eating. I didn't have snow peas but used baby bok choy instead. Worked great. Also added tofu. Next time I will try frying the scallions (or green onions in oil and a tiny bit of soy sauce and add it to the soup at the end. That will add a nice fragrance to this Asian soup.
